These are links to some great bands both local, and some out of towners:
Aztek Trip is an amazing band that hails from Allentown, PA (yes the same Allentown Billy Joel sings about). I first discovered them almost 4 years ago, and just recently started to really get into their music. Nowhere Quick is a great band hailing from Harrisburg, PA. They have an amazing sound, and a great local following. I found this page radomly, and found that in the begining it was a young man named Mikey looking for a drummer, and other people to "jam" with. They have now formed into a band. Good luck. Equation is a band that comes from England. They have an amazing sound, and I caught them while they were on tour with Seven Nations. A band hailing from the Reading, PA area. Amazing sound, and amazing stage performance. I first saw these guys perform when they opened for Aztek Trip at Croc. Rock. I met these boys, who hail from Boston, Mass. at the Millenium Music Conference while looking for stairs to get to our rooms which were on the 5th floor. We ended up hanging out later that night. They have a really cool sound. Originally from my hometown of Harrisburg, PA. These boys started off as a small town club band, and have now flourished into amazingly wonderful rockers on MTV, VH1, and MTV2. I met these boys at the MMC '01. You can read more about them on the page on this website devoted to them. Five For Fighting is the penn name for John Ondrasik. John is an amazing musician, who always gets by "with a little help from his friends." John hails from L.A. New Invisble Joy is an amazing Brit pop rock band hailing form Pittsburgh, PA. You can read more about them on the page devoted to them. The Jellybricks are a band that hails from Mechanisburg, PA. Mechanicsburg is just across the river from my hometown of Harrisburg. They are an amazing group of guys, with an amazing sound. Superstar Jones is a band that I discovered via the internet (gotta love the net). They are an amazing band hailing from Pittsburgh, PA. Zymotic Flow is an amazing band that hails from NJ just outside of Philly. They have an awesome sound. No Show Ponies are band hailing form Camphill, PA. You can learn more about them on the page devoted to them. Pete is the amazing lead singer of the Badlees. He is working on a solo career, and hopefully he'll stick with the Badlees. The Badlees are a band that hail from a small town just north of Harrisburg. They were once an amazing MTV band, but right now they're back home, doing the local scene. I met these boys several years ago, and ever since it's been an amazing and rocky fan/friendship. Echotown is a country (yes, country) band with members; Jeff Feltenberger, and Ron Simasek of The Badlees in it. They're not a bad sounding band. Check their sound out on their homepage. The Cellarbirds are another branch off band of the Badlees. Members Paul Smith, Brett Alexander, and Ron Simasek compose this band. Check out their website to learn more about them. Seven Nations hails from Orlando, Florida. They are a celtic rock band. Their sound is original and they are a nice group of guys. Check them out on my site or their homesite. Hailing from Boston, Mass. Miss Fortune is an amazing band whom I met at the MMC '01. They are great guys with a great sound. The Clark's hail from Pittsburgh, PA. (Yes yet another band form my second or third home) They have an amazing sound and have a song about "Chasin' Girl's", and "Snowman".
These are some really cool websites: Radom Brother's Pittsburgh Bands These guys have a site that's a list of almost every band in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Jackie is one of my friends and this is her homepage. MP3.com is a place to get free MP3 downloads, and find new music and new bands. Pennlive is a website that is at most every type of big event in the harrisburg area. You can find pics from MMC '01 there, and a ton of other things. Shannon and Melanie are two girls from my hometown. We go to a lot of the same shows. Check their site out. This is my sister Gwen's homepage.
