Our story begins on February 17, 2001 at the Harrisburg Hilton. We stayed in a hotel room there for the Millenium Music Conference (MMC), and that night is one wild and crazy story.

We had room 502 at the Hilton, and there was an adjoining room. We met our neighbors, shortly after I arrived, and my sister's friend Emily locked us (Gwen, Scott, and I) out of the room. Gwen "accidently" (she claims it was but I'm not so sure) knocked on their door. We met, and we talked about our hair, and how we were the neighbors.

We, later that evening found out they were in a band (how were we to know 'cause a lot of people were just there for the music). We asked where they were playing and they informed us at the Vault (a totally 21+ bar). We couldn't go, and told them if they wanted they could come hang out in our room later that evening (we didn't think they would).

After a long night of seeing bands, and meeting cool people all over (even in the girl's bathroom). We were hanging out in the lobby 'til about 2:00 A.M. with a band called Almost Speechless. We both went back to our hotel rooms, and we got our pjs on. At about 2:30 there was a knock on the adjoining door and after that there was no turning back.

I opened the door and was asked where our mom was. I told them in the bathroom, and so in they came. We talked for awhile. We talked about the view from the window, shared and smelt hair gel, did belly flops on our bed, and talked about Kenny being kicked out of Wal-Mart. They asked us to breakfast, but we declined (we were actually tired and in our pjs). They left, and headed off to breakfast. They wouldn't return 'til about 4:30.

At around 4:30 or so there was a loud bang on our wall, followed by laughing, and banging on our door. We later in the morning found out that Chris and Howie ("The Human Burito") got into a wrestling match (for anyone wondering Chris beat Howie pretty bad) and they wanted to open up the doors and share hotel rooms. We parted later that day, and it was sad to leave them and our weekend. I wouldn't see them until March 30, 2001.

Gwen and Mom had the chance to see them on March 2, 2001 at Gullifty's (a local bar). I had to work on the schools production of "Hello Dolly" (what a nightmare). If you want to hear about Gullifty's you'll have to ask Gwen (http://bandaid502.tripod.com or e-mail: bandaid502@yahoo.com).

Our story ends, but not quite, on March 30, 2001 in Pittsburgh, PA. Gwen, Mom, and I on a wim left for Pittsburgh that Friday and spent the entire weekend seeing two of our favorite bands (Grapevine and New Invisible Joy). Grapevine played Friday night at a place called Nick's Fat City on the Southside of Pittsburgh, and we were allowed in, by the manager who was expecting us. It was great to see them perform and suprise Ken, and Jean-Marc (who had no idea we were coming).

This one of the pictures we took in the hotel room. In the back is Me (left), and Jean-Marc (right). In the middle (sort of) is Mom. On the bed is Gwen (left), Ken (on top of Gwen), Emily (Ken had her leg), Alex, and Kevin. On the floor is Chris.

Grapevine hails from Pittsburgh, PA and is composed of: Jean-Marc Azoury (lead vocals, and guitar), Kevin McDonald (guitar and backing vocals), Ken {Kenny} Pardiny (bass and backing vocals), and Chris Jamison (drums).

This a picture of Jean-Marc, (front), Kevin (left, whispering), and Ken (right, listening and grinning away). This is right before they took their traditional shots.

This is a picture of Kevin. The mic is in his way, but still. Kevin called Nick's and told them we were coming. He was really cool about getting us in.

This is a picture of Chris going wild on the drums.

This is a picture of Jean-Marc. I took it from the balcony, but it's rather neat.

This is a picture of Jean-Marc, really getting into the song.

This is a picture of Jean-Marc, and Ken. Ken's doing a typical Ken look :)
